Counselling (is it for you?)

Counselling is about a process of growth. We know that there are times in life when things aren’t working well, this may be on a personal basis may be in a relationship, at work or school. It may also occur at major life transitions or losses such as divorce, death of a loved one, loss of a job or a loss of purpose as you get older. You may feel stuck or you may be experiencing physical symptoms like lack of sleep, feeling down or nervousness, anger or upset. These may represent patterns that you can’t break out of or it may be something completely new. These times provide opportunities to learn and to grow and to reach a deeper understanding perhaps. This is what counselling is about.

Counselling involves seeking solutions and developing ways of coping such as with loss or grief, or differing ways of dealing with things like depression, anxiety or anger. You can learn skills and methods to move past these obstacles.

I’d be happy to discuss this with you via email or over the phone.
